  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves working closely with a wider audit team to provide audit services to various clients. We check their financial statements and reporting, select samples from these and ensure that they are accurate and fair. This ensures that there is no misstatement or fraud in a company's statements.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my communication skills as I am in close contact with my team members and managers, and clients whom I have never met before. I have also developed my analytical skills as I have to review a lot of information about companies and their financials on a daily basis

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme very much. The people at the company were welcoming and friendly from my first day. There is a lot to enjoy outside of work and on the job, there is not too much pressure or deadlines as I am still learning everyone is very patient and helpful.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well organised. The outlook calendar helps to organise my meetings and all communications are clear and booked into my calendar to ensure that I never miss a meeting. There are also training sessions booked months in advance so that I know when I will need to inform a manager of my absence.

  • I receive a lot of support. There are regular check ins with the exam team, every 2 weeks. These provide an opportunity to raise any questions I have regarding my exams and the team will look into these. I am also given adequate study leave to prepare for any exams

  • My qualification is relevant to the work that I complete on a day to day basis. So when I am revising for exams and learning content, I am learning processes and skills that I use in my job which helps me to keep improving as I go progress in the job

  • 9a. Would you recommend Mazars LLP to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Mazars has a calm and welcoming corporate culture. The training provided and the one to one help is good and helps me to grow in my role everyday. It is also an opportunity to challenge yourself day to day with new tasks and activities to complete and work through with your team.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mazars LLP?
  • Always make sure you ask questions when you don't understand something or anything is unclear. Your colleagues or managers will be happy to explain in detail and doing this will give you a chance to gain much more knowledge in your job role and be more independent moving forwards.
