  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in a fast paced, customer facing sales role where it is always busy. I help to manage billing queries and manage cancelations

    3/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since joining Sage, my confidence and general people skills have grown considerably. I have been given the opportunity to support in areas outside of my role, so I have learned new skills such as event organisation, how to alter internal processes and write informative articles.

    8/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The role I fulfil and the apprenticeship course I follow are not the most relevant to each other, which makes it hard to enjoy the work because I spend more time worrying about how to link the work to my job in order to make it relevant.

    2/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • We were given key dates immediately, so it is easy to follow and well structured to track your progression. JGA have structured the learning to make sense with the way you process a sale, so the learning aspect is great.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have had additional support provided to me externally which is great, they have helped set up assistive technology and tutoring sessions to help me manage with the workload.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I meet with my training provider once every couple of months, but they are always available through email and phone call.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I can understand the entirety of the sales role, rather than just the retention aspect. We get a range of different perspectives and techniques to trial, that other members of my team often haven't heard of.

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am a city co-lead for a colleague success network, which means i get to help plan and organise events for issues I am passionate about

    10/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Sage to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The benefits of working for Sage outweigh some of the weaker areas in the organisational aspect of the company. The people are amazing and make you feel accepted immediately.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • Do your research on the role you want to fulfil and don't be afraid to ask silly questions around it. Get your foot in the door, and there is so much potential for growth.
