  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As part of my role. I am responsible for monitoring as well as reporting on all social activity published to our brand accounts, as well as how audiences and customers are engaging with our content. I publish a number of regular reports providing insights for stakeholders within the business, with information on how were show up on social and perform.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Both through my apprenticeship and learning on the job, I have learnt a number of skills that I had not previously had within my skill set. In addition, I have also strengthened skills that I had prior to working at Sage. learning on the job has provided the best experience for learning new skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Although the programmes don't always align and cross over in terms of skills, the programme has provided me with the education to help further my work within the job. Learning new skills has allowed me to open new doors within my role and offer assistance to optimise my workload. This is a part of the programme I enjoy

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured. Sessions are regular within the first part of the course, allowing you to grow confidence in the new skills you are learning. This is then combined within the examination process, allowing you to apply this knowledge. Coaches are always helpful in assisting with any needs or questions within a quick response rate.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I can never fault the amount of support I receive from my employer. Although It works on an ask-and-you-shall-receive basis with my line manager, I am well aware, as has been evidenced that whenever I am in need of anything, they are always there to help and aid me in whatever situation I am in.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Again, the amount of support received from the training provider varies on how much support you want to receive or need. They are always there to help as and when you need it, but also allow for a level of autonomy within the role, to ensure that you have a good understanding and are not being guided too much.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Although it does no always cross over in the most efficient way, I have learnt many new skills that better my performance within my role. Not only bettering skills I had prior to the apprenticeship, but also new skills that I had only just started to learn. I have used these in a way to help ease my workload and optimise my job.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is always something happening within work life, whether it be a get-together event within the office to encourage socialising with colleagues, or out-of-office foundation days that provide you with the opportunity to volunteer at a charity of your choice with colleagues. In-person activities are a pivotal part of Sage culture.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Sage to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Sage as a first employer has no faults. The culture within the company is amazing, with everyone being friendly and always willing to go out of their way in order to help you in any way you need. Rewards and perks ensure that you are also treated well even outside the office. Definitely recommend.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • Definitely apply for any job within Sage. If you're lucky enough to get a role, make sure you get stuck in with a 'yes' attitude. There are so many activities and further roles to get involved with, sink your teeth in and make sure that you get stuck In with the business and benefit from its value for its employees.
