  • My role involves liaising with a partnering company and supporting them with any IT issues and enrolling individuals into the business

  • I have developed my stakeholder communication skills, by liasing with different departments internally as well as external stakeholder visits

  • I really enjoy the responsibility given as an apprentice, but also the fact there is always support when needed

  • The course is quite structured, however, it can be difficult at times managing uni work/apprentice work as well as your day job

  • A lot of support is offered when needed. THere is alwyas someone available to speak to regarding work and personal matters

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • In my 3 years so far there has been mixed support from training providers. Some tutors have been better than others in terms of offering support

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I definitely see the correlation of the content we cover in college and placement. the methods of assessment such as presenting in college boosts your confidence within placement

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are social events for apprentices,however, the frequency of these is something that can be improved

  • Yes

  • Amazing company, amazing perks, very supportive and the opportunity for a great career, debt free, learning on the job


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Research the company and also understand what the role you are applying for consists of and think of examples of skills you have which makes you the right candidate for that role
