  • My role is a shift leader. This consists of me running shifts or certain areas. And also to train new members of staff and also support everyone as a team.

  • I have learnt a lot more stuff. And I have also learnt about the stuff I am already doing.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy what I am learning at the moment. I just struggle slightly with the time frame to fit it all in.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I like the way my apprenticeship is all set out and has deadlines to complete them by. It is quite easy to navigate.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I do receive some support from my employer. However, nobody has asked me how it is going or checked in with my progress other than my apprenticeship guy.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am quite happy with the support from my training provider. They explain clearly what I need to get done. And offer help when needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel since starting my apprenticeship I have progressed quite well and improved my own work and performance within my job role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have recently had a sport event for raising money for charity though I would definitely enjoy doing in store money raising.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great job starting out. It has got a great community and family values.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • When applying, just be yourself. You do not need to change to fit in. Everyone is unique and brings their own qualities to the team.
