  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves managing the development of new End-point Assessments, apprenticeship-related qualifications and technical/national qualifications. This includes managing writers, developing new units and assessments and submissions to the regulators.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have consolidated my existing skills but have also learnt new project management skills that I have applied to my job since starting the apprenticeship degree in September 2023.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed the programme so far. It has confirmed the knowledge and skills I already have, whilst giving me new knowledge and skills that I can apply in my day-to-day role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel that the programme is well structured, however, there are some issues with the provider, with lack of consistency with link tutor (we are on our third link tutor since beginning the programme) and there have been issues with delays in feedback for assessments.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I cannot fault the support from the employer. They provide points of contact and mentors throughout the programme and adequate time off-the-job for learning.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive 1-2-1 sessions from tutors prior to assignment due dates and receive annotated feedback to help us improve on assignments - however, sometimes this is late and so not always helpful in time for deadlines.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like the degree apprenticeship in project management is already helping me to perform better in my role and will continue to do so over the next two years of the programme.

  • There is an opportunity to become an Apprenticeship Ambassador or part of employee representative groups

  • Yes

  • It is a great place to work, especially with the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship for any employee, with great support provided.
