  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I firstly go in the morning and put on my overalls to prepare for workshop work. I then go into my welding bay and set up my equipment and grab any required tools for the day. I think make sure to understand what needs done for the day then i get to doing it.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy most parts of the programme, but my favourite would have to be tig welding, this is because I like the technical skills and concentration needed to create a strong and effective tig weld. I also like to weave the weld to make it look nice and pretty always.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is highly structured as we have a daily plan for each day we are in work. We also have the same break times daily so it makes it easy to keep track of time to do certain tasks to make sure that we do not run over the time allocated.

  • Prepare for your interview and do your research. Make sure to bring all documents with you and make sure not to lie on your CV at all as that will not make you look good. Be honest and try to show your personality through your answers to make you stand out.
