  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As part of my L3 apprenticeship, I am a flexible team member, doing many jobs around the branch. My responsibilities include working on the counter, serving customers and helping them with their cash needs. This involves business banking, withdrawals / deposits, payments and more. I also spend time helping our back-office staff with jobs such as scanning cheques. Finally, I work out the front with the Universal Bankers. As part of that role, I support customers with the self-service machines, online banking and opening accounts.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification supports my role in branch as I am very confident in my knowledge. I came into the bank with very little prior knowledge about finance and banking and now can confidently talk about topics I had no clue about. This is all as a result of my learning and qualification.
