  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Although I do enjoy my job and the tasks, jobs and work I do, I cannot say I have enjoyed my time as a whole.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very poorly, if anything none existent. I am a HGV mechanics apprentice and only in my last year, 4 months prior to the end point examination have I been able to actually work on a HGV vehicle.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

  • 9a. Would you recommend Babcock to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • My experiences from the company have been poor and these things add up and stack up and start taking a toll on your mental health.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babcock?
  • Be strong willed and resilient, learn how to fend for yourself, respect those who respect you because you do not get a lot of it. Be the grey man and stay out of trouble.
