  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to train new starters to work all stations correctly and progress. I also work with customers serving, making the orders . I prepare, assemble and help with any issues or questions anyone may have. I ensure all training is logged onto the system to help with progression in the company.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of management skills that I will put to use as I progress within the company. I have learnt a lot of motivational skills, as well as how to work all stations that are required within my company. I also build on current skills I have too.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme I am currently working on, this is because it is helping me look at the other aspects of my job, with motivation and making sure everybody is good and safe at work. I also meet lots of different people on this programme and it helps with working.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme that I am working on is very well organised and structured. I have had a few different coaches, but they are all brilliant and ensure everyone knows about upcoming meetings and off the job training. There is lots of communication too if you have any questions so you are never left in the dark.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive as much support as I really need. Any questions, help or issues I may have are easily resolved and communicated well from employers. All management and coaches are really supportive of any situations and it is very easy to communicate with any of the coaches from the programmes.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • When I am working towards my qualifications, I receive as much support as I need to help me progress and develop well. There are ways to contact the coaches even if it is out of work hours. They always respond as quickly as they can and help and support always.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Working towards my qualification really does help how I perform at work, it helps me support others and ensure their work environment is good and safe for all workers too. I am developing skills that I have and learning knew ones to better myself for my work environment and progression.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At my workplace, there are always lots of events happening, we also have seasonal activities, for example, we have a yearly Christmas party for all to attend and we also have a yearly sports day that everyone can attend and meet other people from different stores that are within the company.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend my workplace because it is a good workplace environment. They offer flexible working hours and shifts to fit around your lifestyle out of work, you will meet lots of new and different people, you will also learn lots of new skills that you can use at anytime in your life.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • When applying for McDonalds, make sure you are prepared for the interviewing process, be confident and be your self. Make the person who is interviewing you aware of any days you may not be able to work or what times you can work, and tell them anything that they may be able to help you with.
