  • Completing tasks via a ticketing board, working alongside a team to produce larger pieces of work, studying towards apprenticeship qualification.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Have loved my role as since I started I have settled into my team really well and have great relationships which allow me to thrive in both the workplace and the classroom. Blend of work/learning has been perfect!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The workplace side of my programme is fairly structured and consists of weekly check-ins with my line manager for development purposes alongside working through a ticketing board for my daily tasks. The learning side is very structured as meetings and assessment deadlines are set weeks in advance with a milestone approach taken.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Support from my employed involves check-ins each week with my line manager where we can discuss my progress and also use the opportunity to ask questions and go through things I am not understanding. My line manager is very supportive. I also receive support from my team members when a problem arises they may be able to assist with.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Support from my training provider has been good. I receive support from my assessor whenever I feel that I need it regarding hand in pieces of work with scheduled dates. I also attend pre booked courses which cover content related to my role and the support provided when on these courses has been excellent.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification has allowed me to perform better in my role as it has allows me to take on information that I may not come across within my role that can be handy to know to apply to my role. In my role I learn skills and techniques that reflect my role but from my training courses i have fund that having more of a base understanding of the core issues has been valuable to addressing new problems.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are many things to get involved with in my workplace. There's lots of variety and they are all made aware through various newsletters etc.

  • Yes

  • NatWest has been a very open employer for me to begin my career with, they have helped in every way they can to help me make the most of my apprenticeship and I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship journey so far!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • Focus on NatWest's core values when applying for a role with the business, these really do mean a lot to the business in how it applies itself in todays society.
