  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role would be to make sure the customers get the best customer service as possible. Along with everything that they require whether it is in the store or online such as items that they purchase so that they are not disappointed with anything that we may do for the company.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learned that you need to be able to work in a high paced environment, which is no problem for me. Also we have onlines and ubers that can happen which is where the customers order them shopping online and we pack it for them and we give them the best quality products.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it very much because you are always learning new things. Such as the questions I would may not understand at first but once I start to know what to write and elaborate on the answer to the question and give a good account on what I am discussing.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well structured because the programme is broke down into small pieces. So one part would be about marketing. Another bit would be about sales and customer service. With other topics too. So you get a good understanding and experience of how well it is organised and structured.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive quite abit of training because if I did not receive any training, I would not have much of an idea on what to do or how to do some stuff. So the training has come in very handy towards me and I am grateful for the training giving.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps me perform better in my role because some things I would not understand at first and then once I have discussed it then I would actually think that's a better way to do that and that could be done in a better way so I feels like it does help.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I don't think that there is anymore activities for me to get into while I am at work. The only thing close or similar to that is possibly work nights outs if we were to go out together. Or selling things in the store on promotion to help sales.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Iceland to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it is a good company to work for with alot of opportunities to help progress and move up the ladder. Also all staff members get a 15% discount on all stock in store. Also a bonus card savings to help you save your money up for a later date.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland?
  • To say that you have a good work ethic, because if you have that then Iceland is the place for you. I would say that you need to be prepared for different jobs throughout the day and not just one because one minute your doing one job then the next your doing something else. Which is good as it shows your flexibility
