  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Self confidence was one major thing that i struggled with but working at Icelandic they helped me improve and believe in myself a little more. We all work so well as a team and it’s great as we have such a lovely group of people and i’m lucky to work with them everyday.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think my role has improved so much better as i just have learnt so many new skills and tricks that i just did not know before about my job, as in some days i’d stress out a lot and just really put myself down but in all honesty there was no reason to be stressed as i got everything done by the time i finished my shift.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We currently haven’t set up anything like that but we have had it breached with the managers, as we think we should all celebrate the amount of effort we put into this job. Every christmas year we have a party and that includes all areas just to gather which is really nice as it’s outside of work.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland?
  • Just be confident in yourself, explain your benefits and weaknesses even though people say that never put any weaknesses just always say something even if it’s stressed easily, just so we know how you feel daily.
