  • As my role as a crew member at McDonald’s is on day to day basis is to help customers feel welcomed and to enjoy they’re experience at the store. To ensure all products are up to check and up to speed with expectations of the products being sold.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have indeed developed existing skills such as cleaning as to go and ensuring all products are polished and not damaged before use. Skills I have learnt at my time here is having it switch from independent working to team work when the shift becomes more busy than usual.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I do enjoy my programme quit a lot if I’m honest it helps me benefit learning new skills off the work floor and helps me control my independent learning.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Towards the beginning not at all, there were a few difficulties with the tutor I initially started with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] my new coach stepping in everything has be much better but there can always be improvement

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I do receive a lot of support and they do try their bests to get me off the floor to have time to achieve the benefits I need.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I do receive a lot of support towards the qualifications I need to achieve from here but one problem it does seem like for someone who is ready soon it has been independent learning throughout and not much support in the components in the apprenticeship itself from my trainer.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I do feel really positive with the qualifications I may receive from the apprenticeship, one thing I know it will help is pushing myself to become manager sooner rather than later.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No not exactly, I mean there is a football team that people can get into and enjoy but others than that it’s not really much going in unless a charity event is happening then the staff cab get involved.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I worked recommend to a friend as I do believe it’s a great push towards a career goal and also helps with qualifications you may never of had before which gives you better opportunities towards your future for example university, benefits grades and skills you have learnt for the last year +


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • To not b shy to speak up, this may affect your ability to show your skills, always be ahead make sure your off the hour jobs are up to date and to just enjoy yourself it make get stressful but there is a team behind you ready to support whatever it is.
