  • I'm an RPA developer, which essentially means I'm a software developer working in automation within the banking industry. I code solutions and liaise with business minds while working on projects.

  • Lots of different coding languages: C#, VisualBasic, SQL, JS, HTML, CSS. Also learnt a lot about business engagement and stakeholder management

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My work-side apprenticeship is fantastic, I really love everything about my job, however my training provider is very unsatisfactory - I've really not enjoyed the degree side of my apprenticeship, but I know how important it will be to future development, so I'm continuing to do it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I am given quite a lot of free roam with my apprenticeship, as I'm treated no different in my job than my other colleagues. I prefer this approach, because I still receive appropriate support from my line manager when I need it.

  • Be authentic, make sure you do your research ahead of the interview, and make sure your team is an important fit as well as the job role.
