  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • It's hard to summarise a day-in0the-life as everyday tends to be quite different. Something I find myself doing on most days is ensuring everyone on site is wearing correct PPE and following health and safety protocols.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It tends to vary, as the qualification is a lot broader than work that gets carried out on the other 4 days of the week. However, you do notice a lot of it linking to things you are doing at work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

  • 9a. Would you recommend Skanska to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I haven't got any issues with the way that Skanska do things, I consider myself very lucky to be working with such a supportive company/community. Additionally, I enjoy what I do and if I thought that someone else might, Skanska would be the first company I recommend.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Skanska?
  • If applying for an apprenticeship, just be yourself in any interviews. Anything that you need to learn, they will teach you - they will support you in your journey and look for genuine, kind-hearted people in the hiring process.
