  • I work in a call centre to sell and service home insurance policies. I also support with complaints and back-office jobs.

  • I am learning to develop my customer service skills. I have only been doing my apprenticeship for a month and I have learnt so much.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy it. There is a lot of support available, and it is very clear on what I have to do for each assignment.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well. I have all the information needed when completing tasks and the support is there for me to.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • They make sure my schedule is updated to accommodate the apprenticeship and are also lenient with changing it to suit meetings/workshops etc.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have full support. I can message them through my apprenticeship system BUD, and I'll get a reply pretty much instantly.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It suits my role perfectly (customer service) but also help me prepare for future rolls (team leader).

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have awards ceremonies and Christmas parties etc. but nothing else that I am aware of.

  • Yes

  • The company is very good to work for. I feel respected, they have great benefits and good pay.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSA Insurance Ltd?
  • I would only apply if you are willing to work hard and do your best. The company is very customer focused so it's not an easy job where you can doss around.
