  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Day to day my role varies significantly from creating/editing reports using programmes such as Power BI & excel to coding on SQL databases from the creation to the final outputs produced. Additionally working on database security, attending meetings and much more. As well as spending around 20% of my time on the degree aspect of the course.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Learnt many new skills since starting, from coding, Microsoft 365 skills and general IT skills. Additionally using and practising these skills regularly in my work. Also developing my soft skills e.g., communication, presentation and speaking. Additionally gaining a basic accounts qualification on top of these.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Overall I enjoy my programme, the people and company culture is amazing. The work is relevant to my qualification and you're treated no different being an apprentice!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Being a newly formed course, the organisation at times could be improved however when any issues do arise they can be quickly and efficient sorted. The structure of the course was unclear at the beginning however now is clear.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support is amazing, everyone is approachable and helpful with any problems/questions. Regular meetings with managers are scheduled and there is a clear support network to deal with any problems. The general attitude towards growth and development is great, everyone wants you to learn.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Working towards my qualifications the support is there whether it be learning a specific module and you want to utilise these skills in actual work. Or just get extra help on a specific topic from someone who's more experienced, everyone is happy to help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification relates very closely to my role, learning SQL language and new power BI skills I can directly use and improve in my day to day work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is social events running often for drinks, meals, mini golf etc. However I've not seen any sports related events to be involved in so far. Additionally everyone has a volunteering allowance to get involved in a variety of ways to help the community during work time!

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I've grown and learnt so much since starting here both professionally and personally. Growing my technical knowledge alongside my communication and presentation skills.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • Don't be too daunted by applying to a big 4, don't try be the person you think you need to be and just be yourself!
