  • I really enjoy working on this traineeship, I have always longed to work in finance and this has been a great stepping stone.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very structured. I always have something to do and i am never left waiting for work. The programme has also provided a great deal of support in exposing me to various areas within the business and have even sent me to Edinburgh to meet people.

  • I constantly receive support in the form of instant help and frequent progress checks with my team and manager.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The qualification is independent however i am granted 5 days study leave in which i am encouraged to take. my manager often helps me spilt my day up so that i can study too

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps a great deal as I able to apply the things i have learnt from the course into my daily work and vice versa

  • I attend all of our networking events and often get invited out for drinks with members from different teams.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • its a great company that really values alternative paths taken, not the standard university route. the company really focuses on young development and that's a major part on why i feel i have been able to fit into my role with ease.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to abrdn?
  • Be yourself, be confident and you'll be sure to impress the right people. Don't try to pretend to be something you're not. The application process is very long, around three month, so don't lose hope and stay focused.
