  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • in my job role i collect glasses and run the food. after i collected the glasses i will put them through the glass washer and then put them away. i will alwyas check up on people and ask them how their food is. i am always welcoming to customers to.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have learnt so much whilst working here , from coming here with no experience and now knowing lots more in work and out it has really helped out. i’ve learnt how to work with people better and learnt how to manage different types of people in around the company

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i enjoy the programme lots because my trainer really helps me whenever i need it. i like how you get plenty of time to complete the work. you also become close with your trainer and really start to trust them. i’ve also learnt a lot more then i thought i would do.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • i think my programe is structed good as we get a month between every meeting so we have time for work , personal time and doing work for the apprenticeship. then we meet up and talk about anything you would of struggled with etc and then don’t move on until you get it

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i don’t receive a great amount of help from my employer unless i ask a question about the work then they will sometimes help me but most of the time just tell me to find out myself which i understand the reason behind but don’t at the same time

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • my trainer provider helps me so much when i’m working towards my qualifications, she’s there whenever i need her and she answers my questions spot on so i really understand her. if i ever need extra time she will try and get work a time out so i’m not struggling

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i feel that my qualifications i facts my role at work so much more as i am understanding people around me more and what people expect from the hospitally industry. i am also understanding how everything works more and what the expectations are within business in general all over the world

  • Yes

  • i like marstons because they look after their employees and ask for there options etc


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marston's?
  • that you can challenge them with questions etc and try and work your way up the chain
