  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a General Manager of a 150 cover pub. We have 23 employees. I look after the overall running of the business which includes a front of house and a back of house. I oversee all the ordering of produce and consumables and make sure things are controlled financially to fit in with my opstat

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have applied some knowledge and training skills onto some of the people I am training myself to help run my business. I am alsomakig sure any skills learnt have been recorded. sometimes I am unaware that the skills I have learnt are being assed on because I live and breath hospitality.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really like the courses that I go on. I like to interact with others at a simular level. I enjoy learning new things and I enjoy recapping on things I already know. I enjoy the workshops in particular. These are the most appealing to me. I also enjoy the other courses I do online.

  • I feel that the course is well structured and I an navigate easily through my platform. I know what is expected of me and I know when I am falling short. I like that I can fill out my own information on my platform torecord what I have been doing.

  • i recieve the adiquate amount of support from my employer. I feel that some additional extensions should be given to help with stressful times at work but other than that I feel happy with the time and support I am given to complete my appreticeship to the best of my ability.
