  • I DEAL WITH CUSTOMER ORDERS, PHONING CUSTOMERS, VEHICLE PLANNING FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. ALSO DEAL WITH BILLING AND KEEPING TRACK OF THE COMPANY SAFETY CARDS

  • I HAVE LEARNT LOTS OF NEW SYSTEMS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS, MANAGING THE ONECARD SAFETY SYSTEM FOR THE NORTH AND GAINED MORE KNOWLEDGE WITH EXCEL ETC

  • I ENJOY MY PROGRAMME AS IT GIVES ME A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE AND EVERYDAY IM LEARNING SOMETHING NEW, IT HELPS BUILD MY KNOWLEDGE WITHIN THE BUSINESS

  • MY PROGRAMME GETS TRACKED BY MY LINE MANAGER AND WE HAVE MEETINGS TO DISCUSS MY NEXT STEPS AND EXPANING MY DELOPMENT FURTHER, PUTTING ME FORWARD FOR NEW PROJECTS AND PROGRAMMES

  • WHEN I HAVE AN ISSUE AT WORK, I REPORT TO MY SUPERVISOR AND LINE MANAGER. THEY MAKE US KNOW THAT WE CAN GO TO THEM WITH ANY CONCERNS AND IT WILL GET DEALT WITH

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I GET REALLY GOOD SUPPORT FROM MY TRAINING PROVIDER, EVERYTHING IS EXPLAINED TO ME AND ANYTHING IM NOT SURE ON, THEY BREAK QUESTIONS DOWNS TO HELP ME AND GET ME THINKING.

  • THE WORK IM DOING TOWARDS GAINING MY QUALIFICATION HELPS ME A LOT IN MY DAY TO DAY ROLE IN THE OFFICE, AS IM LEARNING ABOUT MY ROLE IN THE WORK IM DOING FOR THE QUALIFICATION

  • IN THE PAST I HAVE BEEN ON QUITE A FEW NETWORKING EVENTS WITHIN THE COMPANY. NOT SO MUCH RECENTLY DUE TO COVID BUT THERE HAS BEEN ONLINE TEAMS CALLS.

  • I WOULD RECOMMEND TARMAC TO A FRIEND AS I THINK IT'S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD YOUR SKILLS AND THE COMPANY IS VERY BIG ON PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tarmac?
  • I WOULD LET THEM KNOW TO BE THEMSELVES, TARMAC ARE ALL ABOUT BEING YOURSELF AND DIVERSITY. ID TELL THEM TO TRY AND NOT BE WORRIED AS THE COMPANY IS VERY WELCOMING.
