  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organisation has structured my programme in a well orgainsed way. induction and inroducing me to the workplace was a little different during Covid - 19 but i still got to do everything virtually including training, working and interaction calls. support is fantastic being allocated a mentor to help you all the eay during your programme with studying, working and general assistance. study time i key as you need to take 3/4 exams throughout the year and it is well organised also as you can pick a day during the week to do so. Tasks are assigned well and help is assisted throughout with the team and your mentor.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • When studying in University the lecturers and lecturers' are helpful in giving you resources to learn. They are well supportive in guidance to passing an exam. Sometimes it is difficult to understand ways of learning in University as a lot is going on but i guess this issue will be fixed when returning to campus as we had to do it all virtually. I do enjoy Learning in university as it does help you with understanding the working practice a lot better.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • With me joining through the times of Covid-19 it hasn't really been any big social gatherings as advised from the government. There is now voluntary event which i have seen an email about but i guess they're now working on more event due to the restrictions being lifted in the UK.

  • 9a. Would you recommend NatWest to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend this company to a friend as i am enjoying myself when working. There is always something new to learn and never a boring day when you are performing the same tasks over and over again. It is a really great friendly working environment to be in as when working i am happy.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • I would gain experience or have some knowledge in the industry you're going into as it makes it a lot easier when coming into the organisation. That's even doing a little research on what people in your job perform. when preparing for the interview look at the organisations goals and morals and use it in your answers. Assessment days you should relax and try your best because the employer just wants to see how you would react and think when being under pressure and don't know what you're doing in the workplace (asking questions is okay). I would take on opportunities as it is a great way of networking with people in your organisation. For something i would have want to me told is how many other graduate apprentices there are and to meet them before coming into the role as it makes it easier when interacting as you can help each other through your journey.
