Supporting finance with subject matter expertise on specific systems. Using code (SQL, mainly) to extract data and reconcile back to a golden source before sending on.
Learnt a lot of coding, both reading and writing. Also requires a lot of accounting knowledge to decipher the numerous different financial reports and reference data.

It has some relevance to what I do day to day, mainly the database stuff that we've done. Also the general experience with coding has helped my development with it in work.
