  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is on the sales associate programme at the company. The role allows me to connect with various people around the business across all levels and roles. The purpose of my role is to learn as much as possible about the company and use this knowledge when I enter a full time sales role

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am currently learning knew skills that i can use in my role in the future. These skills I am learning are centred about being a better communicator. From thinking on my feet training to presentation skills training. I will also learn in the future how to negotiate a deal

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme that I am on because it gives me an opportunity to learn at a pace that is ideal for a long and successful career. I am allowed the space to ask questions to colleagues as well as practise tasks where I'm afforded space to make mistake and grow from them

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of my programme is good. There is an opportunity to go around the business and learn more where my interest is heightened. It could be better if the programme was organised in a way where one rotation was connected to the next in a clear way of progression

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive plenty of support from the business. All colleagues are happy to help with any queries where they feel they have the capacity to assist on, and if they aren't able to they will point me in the direction of someone who can. I have regular meetings with mentors who also help in the same way

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive support from my training provider as and when needed. I can ask the training provider questions via email when needed and they will reply accordingly. Additionally, I have scheduled catch ups to discuss progress. I could have more guidance with areas in which i require improvements in the future

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Although i have not fully completed my qualification and i am not in my fully fledged sales role yet, i can see how some of the content we are working on will be useful in the future. However there are certain technical aspects which I believe are beyond the what is necessary

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • In terms of extra-curricular activities, there are some social activities that occur, which do help to foster the company culture. However I feel there could be more in terms of variety of the activities that are on offer. I am unaware of any work the company does within the local communities

  • 9a. Would you recommend Computacenter to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend the company to a friend because it is a place where people are truly valued for the work they do. The opportunities to learn are endless and with that there is plenty of space for people to grow in their roles. Employees stay here for a long time for a reason


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
  • I would advise people applying to work at computacenter to research the industry in which the company operates and think of reasons why they would like to work in it. Also when in the interview stage I would suggest people to be enthusiastic about the company and let their true personality come to the fore
