  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • the kpmg 360 programme is great as i have had chance to work across different service lines in the business and get involved with so many different tasks, which is i think an opportunity not afforded to other school leavers at other big professional services firms. this is a great advantage of the programme

    9/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • yes, learning new skills and developing existing skills is essential as there is so much learning and developing seen on the programme. i would say i have developed my multitasking, teamwork and communication skills the most as these are involved in whatever service line area you are working in on the different placements

    9/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i have really enjoyed the 360 programme mostly because of the rotational aspect of the experience, which i think is unique. i have also enjoyed the chance to mix with new friends and i dont feel i have missed out joining this instead of a graduate career route like other friends are hoping to do

    10/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • the programme is well organised, which is really important as the placement needs different exposure to business areas. i feel like all my questions and concerns have been answered, by the recruiter team when i was applying and also by colleagues in the firm who have been really open and friendly since i joined

    10/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i receive some support from my employer but i am happy working independently and pushing on in my work, we do have regular feedback needs and discussions with managers and counsellors who are really helpful in developing me as a person and also my experience on the 360 programme generally

    10/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • training and qualifications is a key part of the programme here, as you need to do and pass exams to progress. the training teaching is superb, better than i have seen at school before and i am pushed hard to learn in quite tight timeframes before exams, which is sometimes quite hard

    8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • the qualification helps me in a way as some of the work areas link in to my college learning. but other parts of my qualification i have not yet seen in my day to day work, but maybe i will do later when i progress hopefully, so this is a mixed answer

    6/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • i havent yet had the time to get involved in any extra activities at work, but i think from regular emails i get there are chances to support with some corporate social responsobility initiatives which sound really interesting and i think i can take time out of work sometimes to support kpmg charities

    8/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • i would recommend kpmg, the people are really nice and the offices are smart and professional. i would mostly recommend the 360 opportunity as by its nature you get a 360 and wide experience, working across the firm, which even graduate joiners do not get the chance to do in their work

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • i would say apply early, do your research, and give it your best shot, you can also ask your careers advice services and parents, and friends, for advice, as you can learn a lot from other peoples experiences and especially how they find interviews if they have applied for jobs generally
