  • I have learnt to take a more holistic approach to business strategy and to be more objective in my approach to my role

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is challenging, but extremely beneficial - especially in my role. It allows me to research academic theory whilst also researching in depth the businesses results, policies and strategy.

  • The programme is very well structured and allows for individuals to learn around their work. Some people may have weeks with a bigger workload so allows for a agile approach.

  • My employer gives me the support that I need in the form of a workplace mentor

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The university has many support mechanisms within the course, from academic tutors to librarians. The lecturers are also very approachable and understanding of work/study balance allowing for flexibility.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that the qualification directly links to my role, where all modules have allowed for me to have a deeper insight into the companies performance and strategy. From sustainability, to marketing, the course allows for theory to link in with the business and my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a few, but due to covid these aren’t as possible now.

  • Opportunities are abundant within McDonald’s, but you are responsible for working towards and seizing them.
