My role as an apprentice at Superdrug is completing daily tasks for the store and also learning complex tasks that management employees complete. These can include date code tasks, damages and cashing up at the end of the day,
I have learnt new skills since starting with Superdrug not only personal things like my confidence have really progressed- I now love meeting new people and making rapports with customers. But I have also learnt life long skills that will carry me through my future aspirations.
I enjoy my programme to the extent that it doesn’t feel like work! I look forward to learning new things each day and the way am I taught isn’t stressful, that’s why I always want to learn new things because it’s enjoyable and interesting,
My programme is very structured, when I first started I made a plan of what workbooks I wanted to complete in which month. I also made targets to start certain training tasks at certain points so I was on track for my end assessment.
I receive i large amount of support but only from my employer but also my employees, I feel that I am valued and I can talk to anyone about anything I am worrying about.
I mostly receive support from my assessor as we have monthly reviews about my progress and we discuss areas I’m not as confident with at look at ways to improve this.
My qualification helps me to perform better at my role because it covers training and tasks that I need to complete, so this helps me improve my knowledge and skill in the industry.
Activities that we get involved in at work are more online based, do this may be to make a tiktok under a certain theme and that will be judged amongst other stores In our region.
Yes
Because you learn life long skills, become apart if a high spirited team and become so much more confident!
Don’t think that Superdrug is just to stand there and look pretty, it’s hard work there’s lots of things to do everyday but that’s why I like it I like getting loads of things done and feeling productive.
