  • My role is to make sure the shelves are stocked up, also to support on till to keep the shop working smoothly. A daily task would be scanning and pulling items from upstairs to put out on the shop floor.

  • I have learnt many job specific skills, which could b applied in to all of retail, such as cashing up or management skills. I have learnt to be professional and calm and composed which is key to management.

  • I think this program is perfect for me it was exactly what I wanted to do.

  • It is very well organised, I have been kept up to date on everything, I've had loads of help, the work system is so clear and easy to use.

  • My employer is very supportive of this program, I always can get the help I need in store for any of the both that I need them for.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Loads, we cover a lot in our calls/meetings, I can access her very easily for any help, she has a great attitude towards supporting us

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has very I'm portent information in the apprenticeship work that does get used on a day to day basis in store.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • due to covid, we obviously haven't been able to Do very much in groups, but we always have our Christmas meal, and there is the possibility of other activities

  • Yes

  • because its a good place to work, with good pay, good people and you know you will be treated right


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland?
  • make it clear you are ready to work hard, because it's not an easy job. Seem eager, and try be confident in the interview.
