  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In my role as a paralegal apprentice, I will help the team/my colleagues with their case loads/task lists when needed. I also have my own smaller case load of files with the prospects to be settled pre-litigation which I am responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly and correctly.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • A skill I have learnt is attention to detail. I have found when I am reviewing files and documents I have been able to successfully point out flaws or important information ensuring accuracy and quality of work. I have found the consistency is the same when working under pressure also.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme structure is one study day and four days working in the office/at home. I often have check in calls/meetings with my supervisor about the apprenticeship and my studies to see how I am getting on. • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • With my training provider I have weekly lectures where that week's topic is discussed in detail with the lecturer and other students.
