  • Currently I am at college 4 days a week where I do a city and guilds day and then working in the workshop performing tasks learning basics machine skills and hand skills

  • Being in the workshop everyday I have learnt many skills and I had done engineering In school and had basic ideas and skills and since being with Babcock I’ve learnt and furthers these skills

  • I enjoy my programme a lot as I’m developing my skills in a work environment and also developing personal skills in work life so I enjoy it a lot

  • I think it is organised to a good point as I think there is some parts where I think it could be more structured but it is run well

  • From the employer I receive some support

  • When I’m in workshop I receive much support from the instructor when I need advice or support towards finishing products and gaining qualifications

  • I think it is good as it is a good environment to start in and gain good knowledge with good instructors and this helps me become better in my role

  • Apply yourself mentally, focus on all tasks and work hard and when stuck ask for advice
