  • My role is focused on the implementation of new technologies and the optimisation of existing tools and software to optimise workforce performance. I am accountable for translating the strategy into implementation plans to improve RSA technical capability.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed a much wider understanding of the construction of organisational strategy. The models and theories that underpin it and the requirements of a business to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage. I have just started a module on digital disruption, innovation and change in organisations.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Its fantastic. After not being immersed in academia for more than 20 years its amazing to have the opportunity to learn new things and apply them contextually in my current job. It has made me a lot more curious in terms of research and theoretical perspectives.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well organised with all modules clearly signposted, term dates and pre reading provided in advance and all requirements through canvas.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive. All requests to attend workshops are agreed as well as time within my day to day workload to work on evidence for my end point assessment. I am also invited to share my experiences with my colleagues and peers.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider has applied regular touch points to check in with how I'm doing, the course content, end point assessment support and anything else that I may need to do or need support with.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Yes. Perspective on strategy creation has been the biggest take away for me so far. The theoretical element provides great context for how organisations determine their strategy. We are encouraged to make our our recommendations and it was interesting to see how my own proposal compared to this years.

  • Yes we are a member of the professional planning forum and there are a number of different teams, threads and activities available should you wish to take part.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Its a great company to work for. I have been here for nearly 24 years since joining as a teenager. As an employer they have supported both my professional and personal growth with career development and support on returning to work after the birth of my children.

  • Its a great personable company that cares about its employees and is fantastic for career development.
