  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have learned many skills and also developed my own skills during this apprenticeship. mainly the skill of professionalism. coming straight from education into the work place, there were some unwritten rules i had to maintain and skills i had to learn that people dont teach you. such as how to write emails properly

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i very much enjoy my programme because i realise i have been given an opportunity that alot of people miss out on and i wont give it up. i am studying what i wanted to do, gaining alot of experience, all while earning money in the process. i am extremely satisfied

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my programme is very well structured when it comes to the educational aspect and the work aspect. but i find the main way i learn is through experience and direct mentor-ship with the people around me, a kind of trial by fire . it brings out the best version of myself

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i recieve alot of support from my manager and colleagues around me on a daily basis. eventhough my biggest weakness is asking for help and guidance. but the good thing is that people will chase you up, but also give you the time to figure it out on your own

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i agree with this statement but the opposite of it. i feel that the role helps me better in gaining my qualification at university. the experience of the role helps me put 2 and 2 together and it makes everything make sense. it also helps me learn better through experience

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • i havent heard of any extra curricular or anyone involved in any extra curricular things at work. however, we at the london office try to meet for lunch when we are all at the office and it makes everyone connect better as a work team and makes this experience even better for apprentices

  • 9a. Would you recommend Kier Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • i would recommend kier to a friend because i would hopefully want them to have the same experience that i am currently having at this programme and how good it is. it is also setting people up with skills for life and who wouldnt want that for their friends. i am satisfied and i want them to be aswell

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Kier Group?
  • i would mainly tell them to just go for it and enjoy it because thats the best thing they can do. experiences are what you make them. i would also tell them that they need to be prepared to work hard because it isnt just a shortcut or easy way.
