I attend college once a week on a Monday, then the other four days my role is office and site-based. I quote work and manage operations and contractors whilst liaising with clients and contractors
I have learnt a lot of new skills. How to manage people, how to read construction information, how to organise and plan work.
I enjoy it because I'm learning and developing all the time. And for me to progress through Skanska these qualifications are going to be beneficial. There is a lot of work involved during my personal time but i know this will benefit me for the future.
My programme is well organised from a Skanska perspective. Skanska are supportive and encouraging. From an apprenticeship side of things its very well organised from my assessor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. However, I feel derby college where I attend my lecturers there is room for improvement.
Skanska do support me, they give me time out to concentrate on college an d apprenticeship work. There are a lot of people where I work who are willing to help. Although I would like to shadow managers more to get extra experience
The support is good.
I feel my training helps me perform better at work
Yes there are professional networking events
Yes
Because they are supportive, willing to invest in your future and provide you with the support you need. Skanska also offer good opportunities. I would say Skanska are a very good organisation.
Show that your willing to learn, develop and progress.
