  • Date checks on foods, re-stocking of shelves, supervising other staff, working on tills, keeping in line with health and safety regulations, dealing with unexpected issues within daily routines, locking and securing the building at the end of the day.

  • Have learnt more about the background of the company and more in-depth with regards how the company works by doing the apprenticeship and at work I’m learning new skills most shifts

  • It’s given me a lot more insight about the company I work for and the geographical area of the shoppers

  • Sometimes seems a little disorganised due to the impact that covid has had on meeting face to face

  • Sometimes feel like it could be more but it’s ok

  • She’s helpful when I need it and returns any messages I have promptly

  • So far I’ve not seen a big impact between the course and my role. Im having to do a duty manager lvl apprenticeship (lvl 2) when I have already been in this position at work beforehand and would have rather started at lvl 3

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The company as a whole is fantastic to work for. There is always support from either team members or social media (whole company) making it feel like one large family, and there are opportunities to advance up the ladder in your career with them.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland?
  • Be a team player.
