Iam apprentice in a beauty company and I was under sacks apprenticeship twice a month my training provider would come out and teach me the practical and written side of the beauty industry, on other days I would would in the salon ongoing treatments and learning on the job as I go
I have learned most things to do with beauty and about working in the industry as well as other important subjects (British values etc) for beauty I learnt how to do waxing, facials, nails, manicure, pedicures, eyebrows shape and tint and how to work inside of the beauty industry safety and effectively
I really enjoyed my programs as I could learn on the go as that is how I learn better more practice side then sitting in a class room and my tutor really helpt and supported me even during Covid time she we always have a catch-up with me to make sure I’m doing okay
It was very organised even dying the Covid time because my tutor still planned to do online learning with me and she would have a full lesson planed with helpful support along the way when we was in the salon she would take her time to explain and show me how to do things properly
My employer is very supportive because she understands when I need time off to do my apprentice work and she gets along very well with me and she’s always helping me and exiling how to do things properly in a salon except environmental with is very helpful
I resides so much support to the point she would take time out her own time to answer phone calls to help me with what ever I was shrugging with at the time and she would show me were I went wrong instead of just telling me it was wrong
It make me realise how to do more treatments in a more sterile invitoment and more professional then what I already new and she showed me all the safety and what to look out for contraindications and what to look out for and how to solve any problems that occurs
While in lockdown sacks has different competitions for different things such has hair makeup and nails with really helped me during lockdown and it got me practising and learning more then I would of because it pushed me and it also gave me something to look forward threw during the time
Yes
They really do above and beyond for all there apprentice even if that is just talking to then and giving them the extra support that we need they are really good at beauty and they explain everything I. Great deatail witch is always helpful for fully understanding things more thoughtful
I would just say go for it because if you want to do a beauty or hair industry they are one of the best to do it with all the support and help they give you and advise I would give is always practice in your spare time to become the best you possibly can
