  • My job role is to carry out daily office duties in a recruitment environment, ef supporting the recruitment consultants, and carrying out office duties such as emptying the shredder, responding to emails, taking calls, liaising with candidates and clients, and many more.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt new skills such as communication, interpersonal, professionalism, knowledge within the creative sector, and an idea of what I want my career to be.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed doing my level two because I’ve got to be in a work environment and experience and gain new skills, in what I have found to be a really interesting sector.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My structure was well supported by my apprenticeship tutor, as well as my employer, who was very accommodating to allowing me enough time to complete my apprenticeship coursework as well as my daily workload.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I am for your provides me all the support that I need, by helping me with any queries I may have, whether that be in regards to the work in the office or possibly work that I complete for my apprenticeship coursework.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received all relevant support from apprenticeship coursework by my training for provider. Whenever I had a query question or just wanted to discuss the coursework I was always supported and helped.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helped me gain a better understanding of my job role for example why the dress code is important or while conducting yourself in a professional manner is important etc.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are professional networking events that usually take place, however unfortunately these have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

  • Yes

  • Because it is a great way to get a qualification whilst potentially starting your career for the first time in a sector that you choose that you enjoy.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to City & Guilds Group?
  • I would say choose a sector and a company that you think will be interesting to you. Enjoying what you do is so important and it is what will drive you to want to do your best and ultimately what will show results.
