  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day role really varies from arranging meetings, to running reports. I have alot of involvement in the developmental programmes which I am currently project managing.

  • Yes, my confidence has grown and I have developed my critical thinking when dealing with external stakeholders.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my apprenticeship but sometimes struggle to link aspects to my day to day role which can make creating evidence difficult

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is well organised. I think the programme could be extended for a few months so we aren't cramming in revision.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager is extremely supportive which my line of work and gives me space to complete my apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I'd say the support received is adequate but believe it could be better. From doing a degree to a virtual course, meeting virtually for a 1-2-1 every 6 weeks does not seem enough for me.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • In certain aspects I feel it has really benefitted me with how I view certain people or situations, referring to communication preferences and certain leadership styles is the main link.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that I'm aware of. It would be nice too as joining the company during COVID did leave me feeling isolated at times.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Kier Group to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because I think Kier are truly invested in each employee's development which is very rare to find these days. Often employees make you feel really replaceable but Kier have made me feel like an extremely valued member.

  • Be yourself!
