  • My role as a receptionist is to meet and greet customers, resident and contactors. Help with any customer queries, answer the phones and door in a professional and timely manner and assist colleagues with workloads

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned to believe in my self a lot more. Doing this course has proved to me that i am good at doing my job role and that i do it well. Feedback from my tutor on my work has been amazing. There are many more skills that i have learned that im putting in to practice within my job role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I absolutely love taking part in the course I'm doing. My tutor is amazing she's really supportive, when going through what a certain piece of work requires she explains it really well to me always says just give her a call text or email if I'm unsure of something. She boosts my confidence each and every time we have a meeting because she give me great feedback always positive feedback on how well im doing and how i just crack on and get on with the work how she doesn't have to worry about me as i produce my work often and before it's due.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It's well organisised and really easy to follow. Im able to see what work has been set that i need to complete, what work isn't set yet but will be in the future that im able to read over before the task is set. If i want to look back over a task i have already completed then im able to head to the completed tasks and see my work.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has been great really supportive with me asks a lot how I'm getting on and what I'm doing task wise on the course, She takes an interest in what i have previously done on the course and has told me that if i need help with anything then she is always around if I need her.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • a massive amount of support, My tutor is always really happy, positive and smiling which puts me at ease we will often just have random conversations during a teams meeting which helps me relax I've not got a bad word to say about her she is just truly amazing and is always there for me if i need any support from her

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • whilst working and completed this course i have taken into consideration about some of the things i have learned so far and from this i have adapted the way i work in a much better way. I also been able to pass on some of the knowledge i've gained so far from this course onto my other colleagues.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At the moment due to the covid-19 restrictions my organisation are limited to what we can do. There was a charity walk that was a few work colleagues and management walked over 21miles in one day to raise money for Sir Captain Tom Moore's Charity but unfortunately i was unable to join this due to being on shift but the opportunity to join was extended to everyone

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a lovely place to work from the moment i started i felt i belonged with the rest of the team. The admin team in which i work with are really supportive and ewveryone who works there is given opportunities to develop their skill with various training and further learning being offered.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Gracewell Healthcare?
  • Just be yourself and stay true to who you are and be professional at all times. There are many different roles within Gracewell due to many different departments but were on team one family and this is extended to our residents, they dont live where we work, we work in their home.
