  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role entails frequent communication with suppliers to ensure we maintain the right stock levels all around our network. It also involves problem solving on a daily basis, making sure that if there is ever any issues we have a solution in place so that there isn't an impact on our supply to customers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am continuously developing and learning new skills on this apprenticeship. From communicating in a professional manor to customers and suppliers to team working with my other colleagues. The course provides plenty of opportunities for me to get exposure and experience in many different areas to help me further develop and improve.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Absolutely loving the programme so far. Being able to have a balance between gain exposure and experience in a working environment, constantly learning and improving myself. But also having the opportunity to continue education and gain a qualification alongside this. Being able to meet new people and learn new skills.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is organised and structured to a very high standard. When originally starting the course it was made extremely clear to me the structure of the four years and how I will be developing over this time period which was very exciting and beneficial to know. The course is structured in a way to ensure I am getting the correct amount of training and development opportunities and ensuring the areas this is in is matched to my needs.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have always received exceptional support from my employer. From my day to day job being provided with a buddy to ever ask questions or queries. To the company have a designated team to support me through my apprenticeship journey who are always available to support. This is really reassuring to know there is people all around me to help if I ever required and all of these people supporting want to see my succeed and want to support that!

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Support received from the training provided has always been really good. There again always available to answer any questions and are always making sure I am being give sufficient time to work on my training provided by them so I can get the most out of it. They also provide sessions designed to the needs to me and others on the course on areas we are struggling with and may need more support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification and course provided matches by job role extremely well. I am constantly learning new things and gaining an insight in areas which are very useful in my day to day job and the course constantly helps me perform my job to a higher standard. The training provider also works with my company to ensure the company are providing me with real life opportunities that will help me with my degree which is very helpful.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The company are constantly providing extra-curricular activities and networking events for me to get involved with. Even during COVID when this may have been much more difficult. I am always encouraged to get involved with social groups over zoom and network with fellow colleagues. They have also always given us contact information for people in different areas to get in contact with if there was ever anything extra we wanted to take part in.

  • 9a. Would you recommend DHL to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have always felt like a valued member of staff ever since joining the business. Everyone around me wants me to succeed and is constantly providing me with the opportunities to ensure this happens. There is also such a high level of support around me if I ever need help or have any questions.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DHL?
  • One big tip is don't be nervous, there is so much support in and around the DHL business and there will always be people around to help you. Another tip is to ensure you throw yourself into everything and take ever opportunity you can when it comes as there are so many good opportunities provided.
