  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am currently in a PMO pacement as part of my Project Management Higher Apprenticeship. My day-to-day duties include Project planning, stakeholder engagement and general PMO duties.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. Every day, I am learning more and more about the Change Management environment. PMO has given me the opportunity to see all aspects of the project environment and has no doubt given me a solid foundation to work on for the remainder of my apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy working on my programme and with the people within it. Everyone has embraced me as part of the team and are eager to help me progress.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Lloyds Banking Group have mad me very welcome so far in my apprenticeship. There is various support ethods online to help and my Line Manager is in constant contact if needed.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is a regulatory programme and as such is very well structured. Everyone involved knows their roles and responsibility.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I have an assigned task manager who I work very closely with every day. The level of training so far has been exemplary and the ongoing support of other colleagues is always available.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • During induction to the company, methods of different kinds of support i.e. HR were outlined and are easily accessible.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary packet - at the moment - meets my living costs. As my living situation evolves i.e. buying a house etc, my salary should increase - depending on personal performance

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes. There is always charity work available and the skills learned as part of the Project Management apprenticeship can be incorporated in aspects of everyday life.

  • Yes

  • The opportunities in Lloyds Banking Group are vast and hard work is very much rewarded.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • The apprenticeship hiring process was long and quite challenging. I would advise others to do their homework and know the role they are applying for. As for the apprenticeship itself, it is not for the light-hearted and they should be ready for some hard work.
