  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme to a large extent due to the variety of my work and because of the oppurtunities I've had. I have been encouraged to develop my skills and have been given work/projects which have far exceeded my expectations of the sort of work that I would have been doing.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme lasts for 2 years with the qualification being completed in the first 15 months. I think that the initial 15 months was very well organised with great lectures and resources which made completing the qualification very straightforward. However, for the remaining 9 months of the apprenticeship I think that more could be done to encourage development and learning.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have recieved plenty of support from both the apprenticeship team, from the teams that I have been placed in and from any other teams across the business. Whenever I have requested help or guidance I have recieved it so I have no compliants or issues regarding the level of support provided during my apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We had regular catch ups with our training provider, some of which were attented by our line manager as well. This gave me plenty of oppurtunties to raise any questions or concerns that I had. My contact with the training provider also gave the option to have informal catch ups as and when we needed them.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The most helpful aspect of my qualification has been the project management section. This is because I use those skills pretty much every day in my role and because it has given my colleagues confidence in my ability, which has led to me being given more responsibility and more work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities at KPMG even during the covid-19 pandemic. The extra-curricular activities that I find the best and most rewarding are the volunteering oppurunities, which I take part in fairly frequently. This is made possible because of how accessable these extra activities are too all colleagues.

  • 9a. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend KPMG to a friend for many reasons. Firstly because there are countless oppurtunities and you aren't just stuck with one job/one type of job. Also, because of the people and the culture, everyone behaves proffesionally but there is also a good social life and you can always go to someone for help.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • 1. Research KPMG, it's history and the financial sector as much as you can 2. Learn KPMGs values, think about how they apply to the working world and your previous experiences. 3. Think about the value that you can add to KPMG and how you can present this in your application.
