Most the time I spent was unassigned doing 'training'. If I had work to do most the time it would be basic admin work or the work that no one else wanted to do. I did get some exposure to technical work but was not a common occurrence.
I have developed my communication, teamwork, excel and my technical accounting knowledge.
The program is not as advertised. I was grossly misled into believing that the program would be a certain way. Majority of time has been spent with no work to do which is not very enjoyable especially when the management team does nothing to address this.
Exam dates are communicated in advance majority of the time which gives apprentices time to prepare. Rotations are planned but the communication on this is appalling. When I first joined I was told less than 24 hours before my planned start date on which department I would be joining.
I receive great support from KPMG with access to various different services such as mental health helpline, Online GP and various other internal support systems if I had any issues. Also, the leadership and management teams are very understanding and supportive of individual circumstances and needs.
BPP provides great support to apprentices when studying with very high quality tutors and support coaches. However, delivery of study materials are not great as in many instances they have failed to deliver crucial support material on an appropriate time needed to participate in there sessions.
I have probably only used 10% of the skills and content learned to be able to perform the tasks and roles I have been assigned to do. The content of the qualification has not helped me perform my job role any better.
Prior to COVID-19 there was a profusion of various different networks set up for different hobbies and beliefs. These networks often usually set up there own social, sports and networking events.
No
My personal experience was not great because my time spent was doing nothing or admin work. I did not feel valued and I felt like I was on the KBS scheme more than the 360 scheme. I raised this issue multiple times but was not addressed but only caused animosity.
