  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day consists of joining meeting with developers to view the progression of tickets raised against the Sitecore platform. Speaking with different types of internal stakeholders to see different types of issues which are happening within the platform or the Sage.com site. I also help with various different projects both small and medium, whilst speaking with my manager on a day to day basis.

  • So far in my role I have learned how to use sitecore to build different webpages, as well as how to raise tickets on jira, view guidance on confluence as well as many other tasks. I have been able to improve my time management skills by having a flexible diary and having the ability to balance and prioritise work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I highly enjoy my program, I have a well balanced workload and get the opportunity to work with multiple different teams which allows me to further my experience. I have lots of support from my manager for tasks where I require further help. All of the tasks I get I find interesting and can find the fun in the task.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Due to a recent changeover with Apprenticeship courses, I have not started the course for my new apprenticeship. However my previous course was very well structured as we had planned day release sessions which focused around one specific topic and the work task would like to the topic from that day.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager is available to provide me with support on a daily basis as my main point of contact. I will also have tutors once my course begins for support relating to my coursework. I also have different internal teams such as the developers who can help with detailed tech issues, WCM who deal with any design related questions and more. Upon speaking to any of these teams the response is positive and the working relationship is very friendly.
