  • I am a duty manager and this means I run the shop most nights normally leading my own section and watching over the others whilst dealing with any complaints or issues if they arise.

  • I have learnt loads of new skills and there’s always room for development.

  • I like it very much it mater ayes me to improve and is helping me build my confidence in the work place.

  • I think it’s quite organised I get given a certain time to complete the course work and I don’t feel this it to much or too little.

  • I feel I receive quite abit of support form my emails lower .

  • My training provider is very supportive when talking about my progression and course work probably abit more than the employer.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification provided by the trainer is very useful in my every day role again it helps me with my confidence as well as my knowledge on how to handle situations.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a social fund which goes towards social events but at the minute we aren’t having any for COVID-19.

  • Yes

  • Good pay and good company to work for if your aiming for the top.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland?
  • Be a hard worker and try and fit in because iceland is like a big family at least it is in the two shops I have worked in.
