My role is to care for all the children we have in our nursery (0-5 years) and to support them in their everyday learning and development. I take part in the planning for the day, creating purposeful play opportunities for them that they can learn while playing which is the most natural thing for all the children and so the best and easiest way how they can learn new things, new skills, and gain new experiences. I am also there to support my great team of colleagues and learn from them as much as I can.
Without a doubt, I have learnt many new skills because I had no knowledge about childcare and the legal requirements which comes with this occupation what so ever and I absolutely love it. I feel way more confident in my role now when I am at the final month and a half of my apprenticeship.
I love it. I absolutely admire our company`s CEO and her work for children, I love my team and I am really so happy I had the luck to be trained by LMP (Let Me Play) and got the tutor I have. My tutor is a very smart, kind and friendly person.
This programme is well organised, lots of trainings are provided by the company and other providers and I feel I got the best possible support I could get. Of course, good management makes a huge difference to all this too.
The support I received, either from my employer or my management or even my colleagues is priceless. As mentioned previously, I am also extremely lucky to have a great tutor and so been trained by Let Me Play training provider.
I can`t describe with words how extremely lucky I feel, having my tutor and Let Me Play as my training provider. I got the best support I could ever wish for. Not only in completing my EYE Level 3 qualification but I was also supported in preparation for my English Functional Skills Level 2 Exam and many other areas such as Mental Health during Covid-19 pandemic, Prevent Duty etc. I love my Apprenticeship and the big part of it is thanks to my tutor and all the hard work she did for us.
I hope I will be a good practitioner in the future. I even feel I would like to progress even further thanks to my so positive experience from this Apprenticeship and the support of my tutor.
I know about some settings which are for example doing a food bank and other essential goods for some families who are in need of a bit of help, then, in time of no Coronavirus pandemic, our nursery, for example, planned quite regular visits to and from our local older people`s care home and we had weekly visits of teenage children from a local school.
Yes
I strongly believe that London Early Years Foundation is one of the best companies in childcare sector that provides for the children the best possible care and learning outcomes by continuous training and coaching their staff, offering the same quality care for all children, no matter from which background they come.
Do a bit of research on LEYF website and read a bit of the pedagogy and the company`s believes and values to give you a better understanding of how this company works.
