  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to care for all the children we have in our nursery (0-5 years) and to support them in their everyday learning and development. I take part in the planning for the day, creating purposeful play opportunities for them that they can learn while playing which is the most natural thing for all the children and so the best and easiest way how they can learn new things, new skills, and gain new experiences. I am also there to support my great team of colleagues and learn from them as much as I can.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Without a doubt, I have learnt many new skills because I had no knowledge about childcare and the legal requirements which comes with this occupation what so ever and I absolutely love it. I feel way more confident in my role now when I am at the final month and a half of my apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love it. I absolutely admire our company`s CEO and her work for children, I love my team and I am really so happy I had the luck to be trained by LMP (Let Me Play) and got the tutor I have. My tutor is a very smart, kind and friendly person.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I can`t describe with words how extremely lucky I feel, having my tutor and Let Me Play as my training provider. I got the best support I could ever wish for. Not only in completing my EYE Level 3 qualification but I was also supported in preparation for my English Functional Skills Level 2 Exam and many other areas such as Mental Health during Covid-19 pandemic, Prevent Duty etc. I love my Apprenticeship and the big part of it is thanks to my tutor and all the hard work she did for us.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I hope I will be a good practitioner in the future. I even feel I would like to progress even further thanks to my so positive experience from this Apprenticeship and the support of my tutor.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I know about some settings which are for example doing a food bank and other essential goods for some families who are in need of a bit of help, then, in time of no Coronavirus pandemic, our nursery, for example, planned quite regular visits to and from our local older people`s care home and we had weekly visits of teenage children from a local school.
