Project Assistant Review

Currently in a Project Assistant role in Supply Chain Innovation. Daily tasks involve organising meetings and conference calls, doing specfic project tasks e.g store comms, or gathering figures. I interact with internal managers and various other departments on the project, nd externally with different companies who are involved.

Have developed IT skills in previous role doing Seasonal Allocation.

Enjoy working in my team. The course is varied and detailed. Goes beyond your job role in what you learn. Enjoying my time in the programme, and looking forward to the next step.

Feel valued by manager and co workers. Involved in some big projects and been given responsibility within these projects.

The programme from an academic perspective is great. Lots of help and support when and if you need it. Trusted to go and do assignments/ NVQ work on own. Need more organisation from boots side. Knowing what the next role is going to be well before hand, not a week before you due to start. More communication about the apprenticehsip is and what it involves to line managers.

Lots of supprt and guidance. Any problems I have encountered have been dealt with quickly and effectively.

Lots of support from employer and apprentice team.

Having to live away from home, and nottingham area is an expensive place to live, if you want to live somewhere "decent" e.g no crime or not in "bad area" where you feel safe. Doing roles that are above "pay grade" to gain level of experience. Was once told by a manager that I had to buy a car, when they knew I couldnt afford one, and alos knew my salary details. No understanding that you arent paid the same as other level 7's.

Lots of events/ activits to get involved with outside of work. CSR events are also going on to get involved with. Have classes e.g pilates you can go to. Most of time when im not working is spent completely college work.

Good company to work and get in with. Help and support available. Development opportunities are always on going.

No need to get overly complicated with ideas presented in interviews. Simple well thought out ideas are better. Would of like to of been told more about exactly what types of roles were available, rather than just the different departments that are available.
