  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role as a consultant means that I am constantly working on client sites and aiding with the work of the other consultants. I am treated as though I am a full time employee and this means that I take meetings with the client and am responsible for all of the outcomes of the meetings

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • One skill that I have improved upon is the fact that I am now more comfortable with communicating with other members of both client teams and the teams at IBM, before joining IBM I was not sure about how to write a proper email or communicate over calls effectively but they made sure that I understood this.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a great apprenticeship provider and I have recommended them already to a number of my friends who are looking to do internships and placement years, I will continue to promote IBM and apprenticeships to the people around me as I believe that the experience that is gained is very valuable.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
  • I don't really have any advice just that you make sure to go through all of the steps of the recruitment process and have fun at the assessment centre, they are trying to find out what you are like and this means that it is important that you are yourself and try your hardest. Show desire!
