  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in the property litigation department which deals with neighbour disputes and landlord and tenant disputes, for example. I draft claim forms, speak to clients, experts and the Court. I also assist with drafting witness statements and instructions to Counsel.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt lots of new skills during my time at DWF Law LLP. My time management skills have been developed strongly as I assist my team with a large case load. I have also developed a lots of confidence in speaking to third parties.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have had a great experience at DWF Law LLP and very much enjoy the day to day work I have completed. My work sits perfectly with my studies which assists in building my confidence in tasks I complete.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. They are conscious about ensuring we are working in a content environment and offer a lot of assistance with any queries I may have. I receive a lot of direct support from my team also with supervision on a daily basis.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have received a lot of support from my training provider. Any queries I have had have always been answered quickly and there is also a lot of support available which is easy to find and access.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think my qualification assists a lot as the more knowledge I have acquired through my qualification, the more confident I have become in my day to day role completing tasks.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of extra activities to get involved with including rounders, baking competitions, volunteering at schools etc. All are very friendly and accessible groups to become involved in.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • My experience at DWF Law LLP has been great and the experiences I have had have enabled me to develop skills and understanding that I wouldn't have acquired otherwise. You are given a lot of opportunities to develop my learning and also develop personally.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DWF Law LLP?
  • Make sure you become involved in understanding the company. Take every opportunity you are given to expand your knowledge and experience. Give everything a go and take advantage of all the experience you are given.
